WANDANI YOUTH OUTREACH

Mission Statement

Wandani Youth Outreach exists to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the inner city of Milwaukee and to assist urban youth to prepare for lives of positive service to their communities.

Wandani is a Swahili word meaning "companions” and we become good companions through the love of Jesus Christ. Wandani Youth Outreach is a community-based, non-profit program designed to evangelize urban youth and assist them toward becoming better partners with their community. Wandani has earned a reputation for supporting lower-income families in the neighborhoods of Harambee and Brewers Hill in Milwaukee by offering children academic and social support in a safe environment. Above this, however, Wandani, a ministry of Jesus Christ through St. Marcus Lutheran Church, exists to spread the Word of God and to lead children to embrace their Savior. Hundreds of children have heard the Gospel through Wandani.

Wandani currently offers karate classes, open gym, homework club, basketball, art, and peered mentoring. These Bible-based programs are free and open to all children aged 5 to 18. To learn more about Wandani, to volunteer, or to make a donation to this ministry, please contact Brian Davison at (414) 562.3369 ext. 1161, Brian.Davison@stmarcus.com.
