Wandani Ministries Maintenance launched last fall in an attempt to help defray the growing costs of Wandani programs, and to provide teens with job-training and employment. Last year, Wandani Maintenance took over the cleaning of St. Marcus School, and with such success that Hope High School, Salem Lutheran Church, and Time of Grace requested their services. This year the Wandani cleaners have added Hope Elementary School and St. Philip’s Lutheran School. The business employs between seven and ten part-time workers, all under the careful supervision of long-time St. Marcus member, Sensei Tom Hall. Last year, the business enjoyed a net profit of over $10,000; this year’s anticipated profit should be between $20,000 and $25,000.
