2006-2007 Annual Fund Campaign

For all schools, especially small, private schools such as St. Marcus School, tuition and choice voucher payments only cover a portion of a child’s education.

“Education: to a Higher Power”, our first Annual Fund Campaign will launch in November of 2006 to offset the difference between voucher/ tuition payments and the actual operational costs of the school each year. The Annual Fund will provide steady and ongoing support each year from families, alumni, members and friends of St. Marcus School.


Why is the Annual Fund need to balance the budget?

The Annual Fund is designed to help bridge the gap between operating expenses and income. The support of school families, friends, corporations, and foundations has enabled St. Marcus to expand and equip the facility and start new programs. These expansions would not have been possible within the school budget. With your Annual Fund support we hope to continue meeting the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual needs of those who attend St. Marcus School.


The Annual Fund will enrich the St. Marcus School experience by providing such things as:

• competitive faculty and staff salaries, benefits and professional development
  
• utilities and maintenance of school buildings
  
• costs of textbooks and curriculum supplies
  
• upgrading and maintaining technology
  
• specialty classes in art and music
