Henry Tyson
Principal
Henry Tyson is the principal of St. Marcus Lutheran School. He joined St. Marcus in 2002 as the Assistant Principal. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and his Masters of Secondary Education from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
 
 

Mark Jones is the alumni coordinator/counselor. His education experience includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from UW Stevens Point and a Masters from UW Whitewater in Marriage and Family Counseling. He joined St. Marcus in 2006.

 
 
Valeriie Young
Dean of Students
Valerie Young is the St. Marcus Dean of Students. She works to build bridges with parents to provide a team effort to support student development and learning. She joined St. Marcus in 2002.
 
 
Sue Keese
Library and Reading Renaissance Programs
Sue Keese has been a teacher at St. Marcus since l990. She currently serves as the librarian and leads the Reading Renaissance Program. Sue graduated in 1985 from Doctor Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and began teaching kindergarten in Reedsburg for two years and pre-kindergarten in Oak Creek. She later attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to complete her state teaching certification.
 
 
Tom Hall
Martial Arts and Building Manager
Tom Hall is a graduate of St. Marcus and has returned to teach martial arts. He is also a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College. In 2003, Tom was inducted into the World Martial Arts of Fame as “Outstanding Fighter.” Tom was the United States and World Champion Professional Kick Boxer. He was undefeated Professional Karate Association European Champion for three years and has a Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
 
 

Jackie Wilder is the St. Marcus Office Manager. She has been a volunteer at St. Marcus for many years.

 
 
Brooke Scott
K4 Teacher
Brooke Scott serves as one of the three Kindergarten teachers for the four-year-olds. She started at St. Marcus in November 2004. Brooke is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has a B.A. Degree in Primary/Middle Education.
 
 
April Richter
K4 Teacher and Athletic Director
April Richter is one of three lead teachers in the four-year-old kindergarten program. She is also involved in extra-curricular activities as the athletic director. She joined the St. Marcus staff in 2003. April is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
 
 
Carol Jeske
2nd Grade Teacher
Carol Jeske teaches four-year-old kindergarten. During her twenty years teaching at St. Marcus she has taught second, third, and fourth grades; kindergarten for four and five year olds; been the director of the Extended Learning Center, directed the junior choir and served as volunteer coordinator. She is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College.
 
 
Cindi Holman
K5 Teacher
Cindi Holman teaches kindergarten to five-year-olds. She started at St. Marcus in 2004. Her background includes teaching kindergarten for sixteen years, teaching junior high music for ten years, directing adult choir, serving as church organist and Bible study leader.
 
 
Rebecca Hannemann
1st Grade Teacher
Rebecca Hannemann is the first grade teacher at St. Marcus. Rebecca joined St. Marcus in 2006. Her academic experience includes a Masters in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University (2005) and a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2002).
 
 

Sarah Weber Sarah Weber teaches second grade. She joined the St. Marcus staff in 2006. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN.

 
 
Lisa Rouse
3rd Grade Teacher
Lisa Rouse serves as St. Marcus’ third grade teacher. She started at St. Marcus in 2006 after graduating with an educational degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
 
 

Julie Becker teaches fourth grade. She started at St. Marcus in 2007 after graduating from Martin Luther College in 2007.

 
 
Meg Schuessler
Art and Social Studies
Meg Schluesser teaches Art to the primary grades. She graduated from University of Wisconsin– Oshkosh with a degree in Art Education in 2002 and started teaching at St. Marcus in 2004.
 
 
Sarah Plamann
Music and Dance Teacher
Sarah Plamann teaches music and dance. She joined the St. Marcus team in 2005. She is the director of the junior choir, gives private piano lessons and prepares students for presentations at Sunday worship and Wednesday chapel. Sarah is a graduate of Martin Luther College with a Secondary Music/Choral Degree.
 
 
Lisa Festerling
4th Grade Teacher
Lisa Festerling is currently serving part-time with St. Marcus. She graduated from Valparaiso University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She joined the staff at St. Marcus in 2003.
 
 
Kevin Festerling
5th grade teacher
Kevin Festerling teaches Language Arts to fifth and sixth grade students. He started in 2002 at St. Marcus. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with majors in Social Studies and Physics.
 
 

Amanda Friedrichs teaches sixth grade homeroom and fifth grade math. She started at St. Marcus in May 2007 after graduating from Martin Luther College in 2007 with an Elementary Education degree.

 
 
Joshua Lepke
6th Grade Teacher
Joshua Lepke teaches Social Studies to fifth through eighth grades and is the Technology Coordinator. He joined the staff in 2005. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
 
 
Paul Schuessler
5th Grade Teacher
Paul Schuessler teaches science at St. Marcus. He started at St. Marcus in 2006. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
 
 
Ryan Finkbeiner
7th Grade Teacher
Ryan Finkbeiner teaches seventh grade and Language Arts to the seventh and eighth grade. He joined St. Marcus staff in 2005. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2004.
 
 
Bret Hopf
8th Grade Teacher
Bret Hopf is the eighth grade teacher. He joined St. Marcus’ teaching team in 2002. He also serves as the A-team boy’s basketball coach. He is a graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College.
