“Foundations of Faith” Bible Study Series.

These classes are held to present the Lutheran Faith to anyone that is interested and is the basic entrance path for individuals that desire membership at St. Marcus. This is a 4 week course group held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. If you would like more information, please call the church office at (414) 562-3369.

Bible Study Schedule is as follows:

Session I (1st Saturday of every month)

1. The Bible – God reveals himself to Mankind (language of the Bible origin, Trinity, attributes of God, etc…)
2. The Beginning – There is nothing new under the sun (Creation, the Fall, the Promise, etc…)
3. The Law – God’s unchanging standard for moral living (The 10 Commandments)
4. God’s Great Exchange – The Message of the Bible (pretty self explanatory)

Session II (2nd Saturday of every month)

1. The Savior – He humbled himself (human nature, active & passive obedience, etc…)
2. The Savior – God exalted him (humiliation, exultation, 2nd article)
3. Means of Grace – The Sword and the Spirit (how to come to faith, what it means, etc…)
4. Means of Grace – Sacrament of Baptism (self explanatory)
5. Means of Grace – Holy Communion (self explanatory)
6. The Christians Life – Created in Christ for good works (sanctification understood in light of justification)

Session III (3rd Saturday of every month)

1. The Christian’s Worship – Prayer & Public Worship (why we pray, how we pray, hymnal, church year, etc…)
2. Roles And Gifts of God’s People (roles of men and women)
3. St. Marcus – Past to Present to Future (as well as confirmation, ministries and involvement, etc…)
4. Church Bodies and Fellowship (different denomination and explanation of differences)

Session IV – (4th Saturday of every month)

1. Stewardship - (how do we use our time, talents, and treasures to bring God glory)
2. Eschatology (Last Days)
3. Blueprint for marriage
4. Blueprint for raising children
