Wandani Youth Outreach (more info)

Wandani currently offers karate classes, open gym, homework club, basketball, art, and peered mentoring. These Bible-based programs are free and open to all children aged 5 to 18. Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is a program designed to help needy individuals in the St. Marcus family and immediate neighborhoods by offering free food and clothing. It is staffed by St. Marcus volunteers. The Food Pantry is open Monday mornings from 8:30 am. – 11:30a.m. It is closed during the summer months and reopens the week after Labor Day. 55 Plus Group

This group involves Fellowship for the more seasoned members of St. Marcus. This group goes on periodic outings with dinner out. They also do service projects directed toward shut-ins and others. Contact Howard and Beverly Roth (414.289.0838 or hroth1522@sbcglobal.net).

Nursery

During Sunday morning worship several volunteers of St. Marcus watch children between the ages of 6weeks to 4 years old in our nursery area located in the school on the second floor so that the parents can enjoy worship. Evangelism

The Evangelism team offers many opportunities for you to share Christ's love with the neighborhood surrounding St. Marcus and in the lives of the lost. Come share with us in helping others. Our Evangelism Team canvass the neighborhood several times a year, host new member dinners, meet with new prospects and participate in the outreach booth at State Fair. Parish Nursing

The mission of the Parish Nurse ministry at St. Marcus Lutheran Church is to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of the people in the church, school, and community. This wellness health ministry is managed by registered nurses (RN’s) who promote the following roles:

  1. Provide Health Education to the church and school
  2. Connect with the community at large
  3. Provide health counseling
  4. Mobilize volunteers

Children Sunday school & Adult Bible Study

Our Children Sunday School meets in the Wandani Wing located inside of St. Marcus School at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday. Contact Dan Tess at danieltess.hotmail.com. for more information regarding classes. Adult bible study classes meet regularly in the fellowship hall on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and in the church conference room on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. For information on these classes please contact Peter Fraser at 414-562-3369.

D4L

D4L is the St. Marcus youth group—a fellowship of high-school kids from the church, the school, and Wandani, who want to strengthen their faith in Jesus. The D4L group of 20-25 teens gathers every Sunday night at 7:45 in the school for Bible study, recreation, and prayer. There are also regular D4L outings like open gyms, movie nights, picnics, paintballing, and bowling. The group enjoys tremendous adult leadership, eager for the group to grow even larger.
