To the friends who know us we renew our welcome; to those who visit us for the first time we extend it most sincerely; to those who seek a church home we offer fellowship with the living Redeemer. St. Marcus Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded in 1875 and today continues its joyful proclamation of that same Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior of sinners.

We Believe

We believe in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that all mankind is terminally sinful, and that only through the innocent life and death of Jesus Christ can anyone be saved. We believe that God has revealed Himself to us through His Word, the Holy Scriptures, and that these Scriptures are divinely inspired and without error.

Who We Are

St. Marcus is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and the Milwaukee Federation of Wisconsin Synod churches. We contribute toward the support of Wisconsin Lutheran High School, Wisconsin Lutheran College, the Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Service, the Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministry and the Milwaukee Campus

Our Mission

The purpose of our congregation is to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world and to make disciples for the Triune God by preaching and teaching the Word of God and by administering the sacraments. Our mission is to reach out and evangelize the community with the Word of God; to lead sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ; to strengthen believers to lead God-pleasing lives and to train believers as disciples, teachers, stewards and witnesses for Christ.
